Oh yes, I did! I managed to finish my participation on DW III, and here are my results. Her name is Ms. Van Nadmor, a little girl who can use a magical brush to sketch and summon magical creatures, coming from her imagination. To help her, his frog mount, able to jump giant distances, and make they both safe from danger in seconds.

85% of work done in Zbrush, and the participation of Maya, Photoshop and Painter. The two models together have 8997 tris, and diffuse, normal and specular maps, 2k each.

Although is finished, I'd love to hear good crits about how to improve the quality of my low poly models. More shots (winning pose, construction shot, concepts) are in my CGportfolio.

I started using PS, but decided to use Painter Artists' oils to finish the work. Maybe I could refine more the painting, but I was after a more rough look, like a traditional oil painting.
There go some steps of this portrait.

Tesse - Low Poly Char

I made this model for a challenge in a brazilian CG portal - [urlhttp://www.3dall.org[/url]. The idea was to make a redesign of an old game char. I chose my dear Tesse, from the arcade game Waku Waku 7 (1996). This was my first low poly model, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Now I intent to join on Dominance War, on CGTalk team. Let's see what I can do in this war
Model was done on Maya, and Photoshop. Girl + weapon has 7502 tris, with 2 x 1k color maps, and 2 x 1k specular maps. I could have used normal maps, but I prefer let her without them, for the nature of my model, an anime girl.
Crits and comments are still welcome, for use on next works.

My wip thread is here, for those who want to see more images, wires, etc.:

This is a representation of the Hindu god Shiva. He's my favorite god among all. He's being depicted here as Nataraja, the Lord of Dancers. In this representation, he steps on a little demon, that represents the human ignorance.
Sketch done on paper with a pencil. Scanned and painted on Photoshop. Crits and comments for improvement on next works are welcome.
I made keeping in mind her personality, and trying to make something realistic, but relatively fast to do. Photoshop was used here from start to end. And I had some photos of her to look and see if I was going in the right direction.
Although i consider this piece done, crits about anything will be useful for future works. Thanks in advance!

This is my first attempt of doing a realistic model. I'm a long time fan of Bjork, then I chose her face for the task. Her face is inspiring and challenging. If you look at diferent pictures of Bjork, she never looks the same! And this made more motivated yet to achieve her correct shapes.
I used Maya & ZBrush for modeling and ZBrush & Photoshop CS to make textures and maps.
The whole process is in http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=311475

This is one of my attempts of doing anime characters using a realistic approach. I used an original image of anime as base, and then worked in the characters, trying to add things like shadows, hair textures, wrinckles on clothes, facial expressions, and many other things to give some realism for the characters.
My goal here is to know what people thinks about this kind of approach for anime chars. So any crits in this sense are welcome.
